We’ll be kicking off the season with my annual Trees and Tulips Sale hosted at Barber Orchards Fruit Stand in Waynesville. Assuming that the weather is cooperative and the tulips bloom on time, I have it scheduled for the Saturday before Easter, March 30. You can purchase tulips for your Easter table and bare root, semi dwarf apple trees for your yard. This was a huge hit last year and I sold 75 trees in less than 40 minutes. This year I have purchased 200 trees which include Honeycrisp, Ginger Gold, and Golden Delicious. (limit 3 of each variety per household.) They’ll probably cost about $25 per tree. You can also purchase any of Barber Orchards jarred goods during this time.
